This evening will introduce you to the world of alcohol from your child’s perspective. Discover the challenges adolescents face every day. We will highlight media manipulation, the societal focus on alcohol and the medical and legal implications for you and your child.

Speakers include a Crime Scene Investigator, Pediatrician,
DUI Attorney, Law Enforcement Officers, Prevention Specialist,
a Child Psychologist and many others.

FUNDRAISER UPDATE

Students can turn in their fundraising money this Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at the picnic table in the morning when the bell rings. There will be PTSA parents sitting at the table from 9:30am to 10:00am to collect them. Thank you for all your hard work!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
The fundraiser will be held from 10/13/08 to 10/24/08.
The Order Form must have the student’s contact information written on the form. Payment for the products must be submitted with the Order Form.
PAYMENT FOR ITEMS MAY BE IN THE FORM OF CASH OR CHECKS. PLEASE MAKE CHECKS PAYABLE TO OMS PTSA.
The products are scheduled to arrive at the school the week of Nov. 17th.
POSTCARDS FROM HOME

OMS PTSA will be participating in the “Postcards from Home” project again this year. We will have a table set up at Kids Night Out for the students to write a message on a postcard to send to the soldiers overseas. Ms. Johnson will be coordinating the program within the school. Our goal is to have at least 1000 postcards by the end of October. Once the postcards are done, they will be delivered to the radio station US103.5 in Tampa. From there the radio station and various Boy Scout Troops sort, address and package the cards to be sent out.
